DOUGLAS DURST

Many of you may not know the name Douglas Durst, but just like the people we’ve mentioned before, his name is worth billions thanks to the investments and money he earned and inherited from his father, Seymour Durst. Douglas’ family fortune mainly comes from real estate developments in New York. The construction of the One World Trade Center, for example, was done by the company Douglas owns.

However, real estate is not the only focus of the Durst family. Just like the rest of the well-meaning families of New York, Douglas and his clan also like to focus their attention on helping society. He even purchased a farm in Dutchess County to dispose of horse waste and turn it into an organic farm. Today, Douglas’ McEnroe Farm is among the largest organic farms in the entire United States.
